Last Updated: [15/10/2025]

KultureShock Marketing West Indies Inc. (“KultureShock,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to building a sustainable creative ecosystem that empowers regional talent, promotes fair compensation, and strengthens the cultural economy of the Caribbean and its global diaspora.

This Creator Network Policy outlines how creators collaborate with brands and advertisers through the KultureShock platform, and how participation, payments, and partnerships are managed.

Purpose of the Creator Network

The KultureShock Creator Network connects writers, artists, bloggers, videographers, DJs, influencers, studios, and other creatives with brands and organisations seeking authentic, culturally grounded promotion and storytelling.

Through this program, creators can:

  • Participate in sponsored content opportunities (e.g., articles, videos, podcasts, features).
  • Earn commissions or flat fees for approved collaborations.
  • Gain visibility and build professional relationships.
  • Contribute to shaping the narrative of Caribbean culture and creative industries.

Eligibility

To join the Creator Network, participants must:

  • Be a registered KultureShock member or verified creative professional.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have demonstrable experience or portfolio work related to music, arts, media, culture, or entertainment.
  • Agree to the Creator Agreement and this Creator Network Policy.

Creators who consistently produce quality, original, and ethical work may receive featured or priority status for sponsorship opportunities.

Content Collaboration & Sponsored Work

KultureShock facilitates partnerships between creators and advertisers.
Sponsored projects may include:

  • Sponsored Blog Posts / Articles
  • Brand Features or Product Reviews
  • Branded Video Content or Interviews
  • Event Coverage or Cultural Spotlights
  • Affiliate or Commission-Based Promotions

Collaboration Flow:

  1. Opportunity Notification: Creators are notified when relevant sponsored opportunities arise.
  2. Briefing & Agreement: The advertiser and KultureShock provide a brief with required deliverables, tone, and timeline.
  3. Content Creation: Creator produces original content per approved brief.
  4. Review & Approval: Content is reviewed by KultureShock’s editorial team and advertiser before publishing.
  5. Publication & Promotion: Once approved, content is published on KultureShock and may be shared across platforms.
  6. Payment / Commission: Creator receives compensation as outlined in the agreement.

Compensation & Payments

Creators will receive payment in one or more of the following forms:

  • Flat Fee: A set payment for a completed project.
  • Commission: A percentage of the advertiser’s sponsored post fee or affiliate sales generated.
  • Hybrid Structure: A mix of flat fee and commission (e.g., guaranteed base + performance bonus).

Payment terms are specified in each campaign brief. All payments are processed through approved channels (e.g., bank transfer, PayPal, or regional payment partners).

Payments are typically issued within 30 days of campaign completion, provided all deliverables are approved and any required reporting has been submitted.

Content Ownership & Rights

  • All original content created by the creator remains their intellectual property, unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • By participating, creators grant KultureShock and the sponsoring brand a non-exclusive license to publish, display, and promote the content across relevant digital platforms, with appropriate credit.
  • KultureShock may archive or feature content in newsletters, portfolios, or promotional showcases.
  • If a brand requires full ownership or exclusivity, such terms will be clearly outlined before the creator accepts the assignment.

Disclosure & Transparency

Creators must clearly disclose sponsored collaborations in compliance with FTC guidelines and KultureShock’s ethical standards.

Acceptable disclosure examples include:

“This post is sponsored by [Brand Name]. Opinions and creative direction remain my own.”

KultureShock reserves the right to edit, reformat, or add disclosure tags where needed to maintain transparency and compliance.

Quality & Content Standards

Creators are expected to:

  • Produce original, authentic, and culturally respectful content.
  • Avoid plagiarism, AI-generated filler, or repurposed work without disclosure.
  • Ensure accuracy and factual integrity in informational or journalistic pieces.
  • Maintain a professional tone consistent with KultureShock’s brand voice and community values.
  • Refrain from promoting hate speech, discrimination, explicit sexual material, or illegal activities.

Failure to meet these standards may result in the removal of content or suspension from the network.

Confidentiality

All campaign details, briefs, and unpublished materials shared with creators are considered confidential and may not be disclosed or shared outside the agreement without written permission.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

KultureShock tracks performance metrics such as:

  • Views, clicks, time on page, and engagement.
  • Location, age, and demographic summaries (anonymized).
  • Campaign performance comparisons.

Creators may request summarised performance data for their sponsored content to assist with portfolio building or future collaborations.

(Note: Our analytics systems are expanding — additional data and insights will be rolled out progressively. All creators will be notified when updates are available.)

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a creator and advertiser, KultureShock will act as a neutral mediator to ensure fair resolution.
Creators must notify the KultureShock partnerships team in writing within seven (7) days of any issue or dispute.

Termination or Suspension

KultureShock reserves the right to suspend or remove any creator from the network who:

  • Violates these policies or community standards.
  • Submits fraudulent or plagiarised content.
  • Breaches confidentiality.
  • Damages the reputation of KultureShock or its partners.

Creators may also request to withdraw from the network at any time with written notice.

Policy Updates

KultureShock may update this Creator Network Policy periodically to reflect changes in industry standards, compensation models, or legal requirements.
All updates will be posted on this page, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
